Our Humans

We went to the beach yesterday since it was a beautiful day in New Hampshire. We hoped to get a few shots of Ferris since he is deathly afraid of the camera. There were a few and all were taken over 200mm away.

Ferris and Cameron were rescued from Heartland Golden Retriever Rescue in Knoxville, TN. It's a very small organization with even smaller funds. In this economy, many rescues have been forced to shut down, therefore leaving dogs like Fer and Cam in high kill shelters.

I'm not asking for money, but for one minute of your time each day. Please go to the Animal Rescue Site and vote for Heartland in the monthly challenge. Your daily vote could win them $1000 to help pay for veterinary bills. Shelters with high votes could also win $10,000 nationally.

Cameron Again

I finally ordered a 200mm zoom, so I hope to be able to get some pictures of Ferris in stealth mode. My new camera is a Nikon D5000, and is much bigger, and apparently more ominous, than my other cameras. When Ferris sees the bag he slinks away to hide.

Cameron, on the other hand, has been a marvelous model for me. So, here are two I took yesterday. Even with scabs from scratching, he is a handsome boy.
